From Bev Propen  11/11 Orange

This afternoon we walked from Chick's in West Haven along the  beach walk to
Bradley Point.  About 100 Brants in water in front of  Chick's,  many ring
billed gulls and herring gulls--I might  estimate that less than 10% of the gulls
we saw were very dark  feathered overall (juveniles).
Also foraging at low tide east of Jimmie's  restaurant were 2 young Ruddy
Turnstones and 1 sanderling.  A beautiful  clear day and the air smelled so crisp
from the salt  water.
