Th-Su 10-4pm and FREE 4-8pm this Thursday. | | | | | SEE THE ART | | | | | | | | Farewell from our director This is a bittersweet moment for Tacoma Ocean Fest - our founding director Rosemary Ponnekanti is stepping down and bidding us farewell as she moves home to Australia to be closer to family. Rosemary dreamed up Ocean Fest in 2017, directing six fabulous events from 2018-2023 that expanded from a single day to a three-day weekend, beachwalks, cleanups, the Youth Story Project and Grit City Costume Paddle. With the help of many others, she created a beloved community festival to celebrate, learn about and protect the ocean. But Ocean Fest will keep sailing! Under the direction of the Foss Waterway Seaport (our host venue since the beginning), the festival will continue to spread ocean love and learning. Want to support us?
