Meaningful Movies Project, Toolbox Laboratories, Voice Tacoma Radio
Universal (VTRU), and The Pierce Co. Black Collective invites you to a
special free community screening event of *WE WANT THE FUNK! * A syncopated
voyage through the history of funk music, spanning from African, soul, and
early jazz roots to its rise into the public consciousness.

In addition to the screening of WE WANT THE FUNK! There will be a special
performance by spoken word artist Faraji Bhakti along with activities
courtesy of Toolbox Laboratories.
