Counselors:
Before I start researching, has anyone looked at the issue of whether a self-characterized religious organization that announces its intention to visit your town and go door-to-door evangelizing and seeking donations must comply with a local ordinance that prohibits solicitation at homes that have placed their name on a "no knock" list? I would appreciate any insight or research on the issue.

We had this situation several years ago. The ACLU, as well as the church's national general counsel's office, called to let us know they would be filing suit if we persisted. I believe they had an on-point SCOTUS opinion.
