Hi Group,
We have a 1987 47' Trawler in Baltimore that we recently bought in Florida. She will be stored in the water but wondering if leaving her uncovered in winter is really any worse than in summer. I was planning to remove flybridge bimini ( no full enclosure) and make supports for the flybridge canvas cover. The only teak decks are under covered walkways and covered cockpit but they would still get wet and freeze. What is at risk exposed to the elements.

Estimate for shrink wrap is $1200 due to:
In water
Awl gripped so plastic can't touch hull
51' overall
22' above waterline
I have had good experience with the company for other maintenance work and trust him. Joe at Blitz. Any thoughts appreciated. Part of why boat looks so nice is that it was kept in covered, freshwater slip in Florida with a monthly cleaning contract and has very nice bright work railing. I don't want to be that guy that lets his boat get shabby looking.
