I've had a request to send out an email to the entire Council asking what topic of law each would like for me to work on. I see issues with this because I might get 9 answers, yikes! But from an Open Meetings standpoint, even if I am getting separate responses from each Council member, am I polling? Are these issues the general public gets to see and perhaps weigh in on at a public meeting? Should the public be in the room where it happens? Yes, I just saw Hamilton on Disney.
