At Beeton sod farms this afternoon, despite the rain, 3 Buff-breasted
Sandpipers in bright buffy plumage could be seen from the 10th Line
west of 15th Sideroad (2 lines north of Beeton rd). The best area
was south of house # 5664. Another good spot was north of house #
5671.
Estimates of shorebirds here include 200+ Killdeer, 150+ Golden
Plover, 4 Pectoral, 1 Semipalmated Sandpiper, 3 Black-bellied Plovers,
3 Lesser Yellowlegs, as well as Canada Geese, Horned Larks, Pipits,
Savannah and Song sparrows.
