Free Edible Garden workshops make growing great food easy
Learn how to grow healthy and delicious garden herbs and vegetables by attending free Edible Garden workshops this spring, hosted by the Tacoma-Pierce County Community Garden Program and Pierce County Public Works & Utilities educators.

Workshops are free and open to all Tacoma and Pierce County residents. Space is limited, so please register in advance.

Seed-Starting: How to start your vegetable gardens from seeds
Saturday, March 10, 10 a.m. at the TAGRO Office
Wednesday, March 21, 6 p.m. at the Moore Library branch

Soils: How to prepare soil for vegetable garden success
Saturday, April 7, 10 a.m. at the TAGRO Office
Wednesday, April 18, 6 p.m. at the Moore Library branch

Planting & Maintaining: How to maintain a year-round garden
Saturday, May 5, 10 a.m. at the TAGRO Office
Wednesday, May 16, 6 p.m. at the Moore Library branch

The TAGRO Office is located at 2201 Portland Ave., Gate 6, Tacoma.
The Moore Library branch is located at 3411 S. 56th St., Tacoma.

Classes will also be offered in Puyallup and Gig Harbor this year. About the Tacoma-Pierce County Community Garden Program
This program is a collaborative effort of the City of Tacoma, Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, Metro Parks Tacoma, Pierce County, Forterra (formerly Cascade Land Conservancy) and other community groups. The Community Garden Program works to support the development and success of community gardens by providing information and assistance to community gardens, facilitating garden networks, and hosting workshops and events.
