A member would like to know what has your jurisdictions done to protect it from liability where there was an authorized "open run" at various schools or Parks & Rec facilities during the year (i.e., a window of time where a member of the community could simply drop into to a school or into a Parks & Rec facility to engage in recreation (without going through the formality of a permit))? If your jurisdiction has such activities, do they require participants to sign some sort of waiver as a condition or prerequisite to participate in an open run?
If you have dealt with this issue, please email me at akarras@imla.orgmailto:akarras@imla.org and I will pass it along.
