Call for Artists — Gig Harbor Summer Art Festival
Deadline is Feb. 28 to apply for the 2022 art festival
After a two-year COVID-induced absence, Peninsula Art League’ Summer Art Festival will be back on July 16 and 17. The festival takes place on Judson Street, just a block from the historic waterfront — and PAL is looking for artists and craftspeople to participate in the event.

Approximately 125 artists and crafts-persons from throughout the Northwest and beyond are selected each year to participate in this popular, long-running festival. Painters, potters, sculptors, fiber artists, glass artists, woodworkers, photographers, jewelers and more show and sell their work in the festival. More information is attached to this email, and can also be downloaded from the PAL website at peninsulaartleague.com/ArtFest. Artists are selected through a screening process, by a committee of artists and gallery-owners.
In addition to high-quality arts and crafts, the event also features live music, art-making activities for kids, food vendors, a literary corner and an exhibition of artworks by PAL members. The two-day festival draws upwards of 15,000 people to downtown Gig Harbor. Admission is free, and free shuttle service is provided for artists and visitors. Lodging discounts will be available for selected artists.
The festival is the primary fundraiser for the non-profit art league. Funds provide scholarships for local high art students and also for PAL members who want to attend art-related workshops and classes. Art Festival profits are also returned to the community through PAL-sponsored art show and exhibits throughout the year.
