If you are in the market for a no nonsense go anywhere trawler, THIS
IS IT! "Jim Dandy" is a custom steel trawler that has only seen
freshwater although the vessel is ready to bring you to far horizons
and back in safety. Drawn off of a Stephen Seaton design for a
commercial fishing boat. The vessel was built by the current owners
with some work performed by contractors. The owners themselves did
much of the fit out work. They are talented craftsmen and this is not
the first boat they have built. The hull was welded by a certified
welder. The all steel hull has four watertight compartments, 1/4"
plate below the waterline with 3/16" above. The cabin is fiberglass
over wood. The entire vessel is painted with Ameron 2 part epoxy
paint. 5 steel fuel tanks integral to hull - Total capacity 2850
gallons with 570 gallons of freshwater. The cabin features sleeping
for 6, two heads and a full galley. An 8.0 Kw Westerbeke generator
provides ample power away from the dock.

dry stack exhaust, economical burn of only 6 gallons per hour at a
cruise of 10 knots.
