An addition to the previous version of this email:
Taylor and Francis has kindly agreed to give CITASA members a month of
free electronic access  to the iCS/CITASA special issue. If you have
paid your CITASA membership for the year, you should have already
received an email from T&F with an electronic voucher and instructions
on how to access the special issue. T&F has also agreed to expand the
discount CITASA members receive on the price of a personal subscription.
iCS recently increased from 6 to 8 issues per year,  the new CITASA
subscription rate for 2008 is $51/year (the full rate is $242/year). A
subscription form is available here:

And to top it all off, iCS and T&F have agreed to make an annual
donation of $1,000 to support the purchase of drinks at the CITASA ASA
reception! Thank you!

Dear CITASA Members,

Barry Wellman and I are pleased to announce the publication of the 1st
annual iCS/CITASA special issue. This special edition of Information,
Communication & Society consists of papers presented at the 2007 ASA
meeting in New York. Papers accepted at the annual meeting were
competitively reviewed, and we received many more quality papers than we
had room to publish. These papers represent the top of the top!

The special issue of iCS represents a milestone for the section.  We
have a long term agreement with iCS to publish an annual special edition
of works generated by section members. We are also particularly proud of
the turnaround we were able to achieve, it has only been ten months
since these papers were presented at the ASA annual meeting.

I am also pleased to announce that Barry Wellman and Christena
Nippert-Eng will edit the 2nd annual issue of iCS/CITASA that will
consist of papers presented at the 2008 ASA meeting and the CITASA
pre-conference in Boston. Keep your eyes open for a call for
submissions, any communications/technology/media related paper accepted
at the ASA meetings or for the CITASA pre-conference is eligible to be
considered for inclusion in the special issue.

If your library does not subscribe to iCS, please request that they do!
