Gary, I believe there's a PDQ 34 on its way to Thailand right now -
don't know the shipping costs though. I do know PDQ is quoting
a round trip cost from the USA east coast to Finland with a return
from Holland of $18,000 USD - part of their "Baltic Adventure".
I'm sure they'd be happy to give you a quote - perhaps they need
a dealer down there!

PS: George, I'm not sure I'd set out across the N Atlantic in a
PDQ 34. Dockwise Transport probably makes better sense.

Hey, no problem! Buy it at the factory in Canada, and I'll deliver it
to you via Iceland and the Suez. Maybe Henry Clews will want to crew.

I don't have a boat, but plan to buy one in two years.
I am currently figuring out how much a boat will cost once I have it.
I would appreciate any info you folks can give me.
I am aware that there are mooring, docking, and slip fees. I know what mooring and
docking cost me in Marsh Harbor, Bahamas ($20 and $110 per night) and I know what slip
fees are in Marina del Rey, California ($603/mo for a 40 footer), but I would like to know
what costs are for you people.
I have read articles on insurance costs, but they do not provide information on a real
boat and the effect of things such as experience of the captain, number of people on
board, places you plan to go. Do boat owners insure their boats?
Property taxes in California are 8.25%, but are there places or ways to reduce property
taxes (legitimate, of course) that you-all know about. Is there a boat property tax in
Florida?
I would like to liveaboard in the Bahamas. What restrictions are there, or where can I
find out what restrictions there are?
Any information will be helpful and appreciated.
