Annual Assessment
By now you should have received a bill for your 2014 Vuecrest assessment.
Due to changes at our management firm, EMB, the mailing was sent in an EMB
envelope, rather than a Vuecrest envelope Also, EMB forgot to include a
cover letter with the initial mailing, so it was sent in a separate
envelope. As always, the assessment is due by January 31st. Please contact
EMB at 425-452-7330 if you have not received your assessment bill or have
any questions.
Safety
With spring and milder weather approaching (hopefully!), we will be
encouraged to get out walking and running more. As some of you have surely
experienced, it is sometimes hard to navigate our streets and paths against
on-coming traffic, with the overhanging shrubs and hedges. Please be
mindful of this on your property boundaries and keep all shrubs and hedges
trimmed and tidy. Let's keep our streets and paths safe and enjoyable for
all to walk on.
Did you see something unusual?
A reminder that the Bellevue Police encourage us to call 9-1-1 if we see
anything suspicious or unusual. Let them do the investigating!
Your New Year's Resolution - SLOW DOWN!
A reminder to drivers to be extra alert in our neighborhood and slow down.
The speed limit is 25, but we recommend keeping to 20 MPH or less. Be
mindful of our children and neighbors - drive slowly and cautiously. Leave a
few minutes earlier so that you are not racing to get to your destination.
Let's all do our part to help keep our beautiful neighborhood safe.
Save the date - Annual Egg Hunt
This year's Vuecrest neighborhood egg hunt is scheduled for the morning of
Saturday, April 12th. Even if you don't have kids, this is a great event to
meet neighbors and enjoy the spring morning.
Clean Up After Your Pet
Vuecrest is a beautiful, safe neighborhood, and many people enjoy walking
their dogs on our streets. Unfortunately, there have been recent reports of
dog waste being left on the streets or in people's yards. Please be
respectful of your neighbors and be sure to pick up after your pets. And
feel free to remind others that pet waste is a threat to the health of
children, other pets, streams, lakes, and wildlife. It's also against the
law!
Call for Volunteers
The board is looking for a volunteer to write our monthly newsletter and
help with other board communications tasks. If you are interested, please
