I have seen the yacht Paul Johnson? several times in the
Seattle area. She is about 80 feet or so and very much appears to be
the Scandinavian SAR boat you describe. We have enough listees in the
area that perhaps somebody can fill in more details.

There were a number of SAR boats being offffered for sale.
The broker sent us a CD with many dozens of pictures; at least half a
dozen of each boat being offfered.
Size ranged from about 45 feet up to around 100 feet. The listing also
included serveral dinner cruise type commercial vessels very much larger
than 100 feet.
There were about 5 boat which we were seriously interested in. However,
I estimated the renovations and conversion costs in each case would run
anywhere from $100,000 to $250,000 depending on vessel. On top of the
asking price, the total cost didn't look like such a bargain compared to
buying a regular yacht in the first place.
I for one would be very interested in hearing abot this "Paul Johnson"
vessel and learn what was involved in the conversion and upgrade.

they have an English side to the site although sometimes the boat
descriptions are written in a language i'd have to guess is Swedish?.
Anyway, they seem to broker exactly what you're looking for-Ted

Thanks, that's the brokerage we got the CD from.
I can read Danish and Norwegian fluently, Swedish almost as good, but
some words require a bit of contextual interpretation.
Not a problems though!
