ICS Special Issue for ASA & Media Soc Symposium CfP (Deadline: Sept. 5)

Call for Papers: CITAMS Special Issue of ICS

Did you have a paper accepted at the American Sociological Association or at the Media Sociology Symposium?

If so, you are invited to submit your paper for consideration in a special issue of the journal Information, Communication & Society (ICS). For the 14th year, ICS will publish a special issue featuring papers accepted the 2020 annual meeting.

Eligible papers are those listed in the online program of either the 2020 Annual Meeting of the American Sociological Association or the Media Sociology Symposium in 2020.

The special issue welcomes papers that focus on any facet of media, technology, communication, information, or related topics.

ICS is a highly ranked, interdisciplinary journal that brings together current research on the social, economic, and cultural impacts of new information and communications technologies. The journal positions itself at the center of contemporary debates about the information age. Submissions must conform to the ICS guidelines, are limited to 8,000 words (all inclusive), and must be submitted via Scholar Onehttps://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/rics.  If you do not have an account, you will need to create one. Be sure to check the box for Special Issue and indicate “CITAMS” in it, so that it will be routed appropriately.

Timeline:

●      Complete papers due (submit via Scholar One) on September 5, 2020 before midnight American Samoan time.

●      First round of reviews back to authors on October 1, 2020.

●      Final decisions made on December 1, 2020.

●      Final papers due December 19, 2020.

●      Online publication will be early February 2021.

●      Special issue publication anticipated May 2021.
