PowerKeel/Pushing the design envelope

The design idea is an interesting one for trawler application, but I doubt
that I would want to place my machinery room in a place with as limited
access as I visualize in this arrangement of the power keel.

I suspect that I spend to little time servicing the equipment as it is,
placing in a hard to reach place will usually only make it worse.

"This hull ideally suits a long-range trawler  which would like to
cruise efficiently at speeds higher than standard  displacement
speeds," according to Shannon.
