We hope you can join us for the Poetry Picnic this Saturday, June 11 from 11am-3pm!
There will be resource and activity tables from Tacoma Public Library, Stewart Middle School ProjectLIT, Seeds of Peace, Blue Cactus Press, King's Books, and, of course, Write253. (We will have a special picnic-day print on the press!)
Also in the mix: poetry signs from OceanFest, the super-awesome Creative Colloquy Book Bike, and an oral history recording booth from Tacoma Public Library!
But that's not all!
At 12pm, we will have story time for younger children, brought to us by Jennifer Preston Chushcoff of Creative Colloquy, followed by a showcase of poets featured in Blue Cactus Press publications, and an open mic! (Bring your poems, songs, whatever you would like to perform...sign up day-of.)
There is vegetarian food truck slated to be set up in the parking lot. Bring your own picnic or swing by one of the great food establishments along S. Tacoma Way for some carry-out.
Looking forward to seeing you there. Emai mailto:info@write253.com for more information
