Tacoma Creates is pleased to announce the release of our 2022-23 Annual Report!https://cms.cityoftacoma.org/CEDD/TacomaCulture/arts/TC_2022-23AnnualReport.pdf Learn more about how Tacoma Creates funding supported arts, culture, heritage, and science programming during our third funding cycle. The report includes highlights of programming supported by Tacoma Creates, examples of how this public funding supports cultural sector sustainability and growth, and how Tacoma's cultural organizations contribute to a vibrant and healthy community.
A few key highlights:
- $4.5 million was distributed to 56 local non-profit organizations whose missions are to advance arts, culture, heritage, and/or science
- Funded organizations provided over 1,100 cultural programs and events for our community, and counted a combined total of over 1,000,000 participants
- More than 1/3 of all programming was focused on youth education
- 78% of all Tacoma Creates-supported events were free for all participants
