Write253 is looking for volunteers to assist with this year's Louder Than a
Bomb - Tacoma (LTAB) teen poetry slam, which will be held on Saturday,
April 28, at Tacoma Community College. This is LTAB's third year in Tacoma,
and we're happy to say that each year, LTAB continues to grow and showcase
poetry written by teens in the regional area. This year, the single-day event
features over 75 participants between the ages of 13 and 19, all of whom
are from Tacoma and surrounding Pierce County cities.

Write253 is hoping to find as many volunteers as possible to assist with
set-up, tear-down, poetry judging, time and score-keeping and various light
duties throughout the poetry slam. Volunteers are welcome to participate
for as little or as long as they'd like, and everyone is welcome to attend
the final rounds of the competition at 3:30 p.m. in the Tacoma Community
College auditorium.  If you or anyone you know is looking for volunteer
opportunities with a non-profit organization that works with youth, or is
hoping to connect with Tacoma's literary community, please email Christina
Butcher at Christina@Write253.com.

Volunteers (and the general public) are welcome to attend the final rounds
of the LTAB poetry slam at 3:30 p.m. in the Tacoma Community College
auditorium. The event will include special guest poets, educators and live
DJs to create a fun and supportive environment for poets and audience
alike. The event is all-ages and free, although donations are appreciated.

*LTAB-Tacoma is presented by Wrtie253 and Tacoma Community College’s Office
of Student Engagement and funded by the Tacoma Arts Commission. For
information, contact Christina Butcher at Christina@Write253.com, or
