Good Day NCL Members, Thank you to all who submitted nominations. The NCL Board is pleased to share with you the slate of nominees for the board of directors for the coming year. NCL Board National Coalition for Literacy NOMINEES FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS, September 2016 The slate of nominees for election to the NCL Board consists of three candidates. NCL members will vote on the slate as a whole at the NCL Members' Meeting on September 27, 2016. If elected, the new Board members will attend their first Board meeting in October 2016. · The Rev. David George Hendricks Rev. Hendricks is Assistant Pastor of Bethel AME Church in Bloomfield, CT and a professional counselor and advocate for youth and young adults who are facing life challenges. He is President of the Board of VALUEUSA. VALUEUSA is a full member of NCL. · Mr. Thomas Nash Mr. Nash is Director of Adult Education in the Windham Raymond RSU #14 School District in Maine and a 2012 recipient of the Gerald Levasseur Award, given to a citizen of Maine who has made outstanding contributions to the field of adult and community education. He is immediate past President of COABE. COABE is a full member of NCL. · Dr. Blaire Willson Toso Dr. Toso is Associate Director of the Goodling Institute for Research in Family Literacy / Institute for the Study of Adult Literacy at the Pennsylvania State University. She is an experienced ABE/ESL teacher trainer, course developer, program evaluator, and adult education researcher. PSU / Goodling Institute is a full member of NCL.
