This production will be directed by Rick Hornor. Auditions will be held Sunday, February 11th and Monday, February 12th at Tacoma Little Theatre (210 N I Street, Tacoma WA 98403) and on Tuesday, February 13th at STAR Center (3873 S 66th St, Tacoma, WA 98409). Audition appointments will be set starting at 6:00pm on Sunday and 7:00pm on Monday & Tuesday in ten-minute increments. Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, February 14th at Tacoma Little Theatre. All actors must schedule their appointment using Casting Manager at the link below. Welcome to Almost, Maine, a town that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States—it’s almost in Canada. And it almost doesn’t exist. Because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it’s just…Almost. One cold, clear Friday night in the middle of winter, while the northern lights hover in the sky above, Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in the strangest ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. Love is lost, found, and confounded. And life for the people of Almost, Maine will never be the same. Tacoma Little Theatre encourages performers of all racial and ethnic backgrounds, gender identities and expressions, and performers living with disabilities to audition. Auditioners are asked to prepare two contrasting contemporary monologues, one humorous (no longer than two minutes) and one serious (no longer than two minutes). All roles are available: PETE (male presenting, 20s-40s): Portrays Pete, Steve, Lendall, Randy, and Man. GINETTE (female presenting, 20s-40s): Portrays Ginette, Glory, Gayle, and Hope. EAST (male presenting, 20s-40s): Portrays East, Steve, Chad, Phil, and Dave. MARVALYN (female presenting, 20s-40s): Portrays Woman, Marvalyn, Marci, and Rhonda.
