Hello to all you young lawyers out there!

My name is Sarah Kerner.  I work for the city of Springfield, Missouri.  I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia Law School in 2004 and I've been working for the city since 2007.  I represent the Airport, Public Works Department, and Health Department (that last one as of 2 days ago!)  For my first 3 years at the City, I was a full-time Airport attorney, so if any of you have airport legal questions, I'd be happy to try to help you out.
In my free time I like to run, spend time with my family, and devise new ways to torture my husband with my healthy/hippie cooking.  =)

Great to meet everyone so far.

At this point, what would be helpful for me is to find out from you all
what you would like to see happen with this group.

I've been thinking of some ideas, one of them is trying to get monthly
conference calls on a topic of our choosing. I was thinking of maybe
kicking it off with an ethics topic for next month, with a 20 minute
presentation and then some discussion.

Hello everyone!

I am Amanda Callaway and work for the City of Springfield, Mo.  I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 2009.  I began working for the city after graduation.  For my first two years at the City, I primarily worked with the Planning Department as part of the neighborhood stabilization program where I prosecuted the ordinance violations that occurred in the three neighborhoods covered by the grant.  During that time I also worked with the Finance Department which is made up of the Licensing and Purchasing Departments.  Presently, I am assigned to the Police Department, backup for Environmental Works, and I continue to handle the Tuesday morning docket at the Prosecutor's office which is made up of pre-trial conferences and trials.  In my spare time I enjoy running, playing most sports, and traveling.

I look forward to getting to know everyone! If anyone has any suggestions about what direction they would like the group to take please let me know.
