A big thanks to Chris B for getting the 2021 Fall Hawk Watch started for the year. :) Weather: Temps ranged from 21C to 28C with high humidity. Winds shifted from NW to W to SW around 10-15 km/h during the count period. Cloud cover began at nil, up to 60% by mid-morning, and down to around 30% by the end. Raptor Observations: A Northern Harrier – the first of 5 – started off the season, with some American Kestrels (6), a couple Ospreys, and an E-to-W (non-returning) adult Bald Eagle. Non-raptor Observations: Non-raptors were fairly plentiful (but passerines were often skulking).
