I am upgrading my solar panels with ones that work at a higher voltage so my existing 4 year old system is not compatible. I can leave it in place and run it in parallel but would rather use the space for a bigger panel.
This setup includes everything that is working on the boat now. Two high grade panels, Kyocera 140w, Morningstar 30w controller and MM2 wiring. The panels put out a nominal 16 amps at 12 v. In use I get about 10-11 amps in the peaks of the day with the panels mounted flat. The controller is three stage and is an industry standard.
Price $400
You can see it working and take it right off the boat. This is about half the new price.
