P
PUP
Tue, Jun 27, 2006 4:09 AM

Date/time:            June 26, 2006, 12:00 local (z-9)
Position at noon:                      64D45'N 166D51'W
Noon to noon                                    162 nm
Avg. speed:                                    6.75 kts
Miles to Nome                                    46 NM
Course bearing:                                  135D T
Sea state:                              SE swells at 4'
Wx:                Wind SE 10 to 15 kts; fog until 00,
then gradually thins-out.  We could see little Diomede,
but nothing else from our turn around the point.
Water temp:                6.0D C (min seen was 0.5D C)
Crew:                          Ben, Brad, Kevin & Kurt
Remarks:
Now we can turn back south again, it's cold up here.  Darn cold taking
pictures with a 15-kt wind.
We've done the big job, getting around, but the trip is not over.  We still
have 46-days before we get to Shelter Island Marina in Vancouver.  That's
more than most people's vacation; and it is through the best cruising
grounds in the world, so we won't despair.
