TWL: Read's Sailmaker Sewing Machine

When you get your Marine Trader 44 on the travel lift scale and she
reads 49,000 lbs, its time to reconsider being a nautical pack-rat.

About 2 boats ago I bought a Read's sail-making sewing machine for my
Morgan OI/51 having great plans to make a Bimini and do a lot of canvas
work myself.  It was just over $800 and had all the bells and whistles.

You guessed it, it's had about 2 hours of use and I've been carrying it
around for the last 10 years.  The darn thing weighs about 70 pounds and
has an oak case with a detachable top.

My question is does anyone know what these things are worth?  I'd like a
ball park estimate before I take it into a marine consignment shop.

Please reply off list?

                             Regards....
