Write253 Pop Up Print Shop at Washington State History Museum

Have you ever seen a hand-operated printing press in action? You can do just that at our Write253 Pop Up Print Shop on select dates through April 2020. You'll even get a chance to operate a small press in the shop and make a print to take home. A printmaker will be on hand to facilitate visitors in working a press to make a small free print of their own.

This is the whole family's chance to learn about the Space Race and Washington State's role in it. Scholarly Selections: Using Artificial Intelligence to Simulate the Dead

University of Washington Tacoma Affiliate Assistant Professor Muhammed Aurangzeb Ahmad will describe his work with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies - specifically his quest to create a simulation of his deceased father that can interact with Ahmad's daughters, who were born after their grandfather passed away. The talk will delve into the moral, ethical and legal implications of AI technologies.
