Barkhamsted yard - Goshawk and Siskins

Not a Zone-tailed Julian but still good - adult Northern Goshawk just above treetops and directly over my house at 5:30pm heading north.

Still getting 2 Pine Siskins at what is left of feeders and a Fox Sparrow continues since October.

More on the Goshawk....

Very large accipiter just above treetop heading over house.  Powerful stiff wingbeats.  All gray underside with horizontal barring on breast. Longer tail than red-shouldered with broader uneven barring. Couldn’t see from my angle the white eye stripe as it flew directly overhead.
