over 65 fishing license

Capt Len states: " If you are over 65 many states exempt you from a fishing license."

My experience is that the exemption is only if is you are a full time registered resident of that state.  It will not apply to transients.

For the most part we have limited out fishing to offshore, outside of state limits.  When cruising on the ICW in and state limits we secured the rods below and never had a problem.

Some countries (Ie Mexico) will require a fishing license for each aboard the boat, and the boat,  even if it limited to the survival fishing tackle in a ditch bag.
