    2016 membership dues)
  • Committed to advancing adult literacy and education through advocacy and
    related activities
  • Able to participate in NCL's work and bimonthly Board meetings; two of
these are in-person meetings held in Washington, DC (travel at the Board
member's own expense), and the rest are held via conference call
  • Interested in collegial sharing with other national organizations
concerned with adult education and able to work collaboratively

For more information about the NCL, visit national-coalition-literacy.org

Interested candidates should submit their resume and a cover letter to the

atdeborah.r.kennedy@verizon.net by August
1, 2016. The Nominating Committee will interview finalists by phone and
present a slate for the Board's review and approval in September. The Board
will then submit the slate to the NCL membership for a vote, after which
all candidates will be informed of the outcome.

Thank you in advance for your support of the National Coalition for

Thanks Silja – could you post information explaining the NCL levels of membership – full vs associate?  (Sorry – couldn’t find it on the site and I believe there are distinctions between the levels which people may need to consider when making nominations.)  Appreciate the help! Judy
