HSSU's Matt Wright Receives 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete Award

St. Louis, MO (December 2, 2011)---Harris-Stowe State University men's
soccer junior forward Matt Wright was named a 2011 Daktronics-NAIA
Scholar Athlete announced by the National Association of Intercollegiate
Athletics (NAIA).

Wright was one of 286 men's soccer players who met the requirements of
achieving at least junior status and attaining a minimum grade point
average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Wright participated in 16 games for the
Hornets this season.

The Harris-Stowe State University Athletics Department is committed to
providing a competitive, culturally diverse and gender-equitable sports
program that operates within the rules and regulations of the
University, the American Midwest Conference (AMC) and the National
Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Harris-Stowe
Athletics Department, along with its student-athletes, strive to uphold

responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship. The
Hornets currently compete in seven sports including men's and women's
soccer, women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball and
softball.
