NCL Members,
We’ll be issuing a formal announcement very soon, but I wanted to give you all a heads up that we will be holding our Literacy Leadership Awards event the early evening of May 14th, here in Washington, D.C. We will also be holding an in-person membership meeting in conjunction with that event. The board is strongly considering holding this meeting during the day of the 14th (starting sometime late morning or early afternoon). We have not made a final decision, but will in the next few days. Sometimes, in the past, we have held our members meeting the day AFTER our event, but the 15th doesn’t work for several of us due to the Massachusetts’ state adult education conference being held that day.
Even so, I realize that holding the awards event on the evening of the 14th may create scheduling complications for our friends in Massachusetts. Unfortunately the evening of the 14th was our only option for the awards.
Secondly, I just want remind everyone about the first of our two-part Webinar series, "Framing Effective Advocacy Messages: Using PIAAC Data” will take place Friday, April 10th, from 3:00-4:30 pm ET. Registration and more info here:

Please help spread the word.
I can’t say enough about the hard work that members of the board of directors have done to pull all this together. Thanks to them, and thanks to all of you for your continued engagement and support!
