It is true that he has a lifetime of voyaging, but he makes his
living selling his designs, boats and books.
I seriously doubt he is paying for the boat he is building by selling
books!!! He is obviously a man who has an independent source of wealth.
One wonders how much of this design is based on how to
differentiate your boat offering from everyone else's.
There are many, George Buhler comes immediately to mind, who believe that
long and skinny is the obvious way to go -- that most production boats are
designed for efficiency in the slip and not in the water.
