A Red-headed Woodpecker was photographed this morning at Hartman Park in Lyme. I was at Hartman on Sunday and had Merlin identify a Red-headed Woodpecker in the same area, but I discounted it at the time because of the rarity of it, plus it sounded more like a frog to me. Looking back and listening to the recording again today, I think it was a RHWO doing its “rattle” call. Jim Stanton Gales Ferry, CT
