Hi all,

According to the following Jira
http://issues.collectionspace.org/browse/CSPACE-3937

there are still 4 fields that need to be converted to the structured dates format:
Person's death date
Person's birth date
Organization's founding date
Organization's dissolution date

UCB would like to perform this work in the 2.4 timeframe. However, this is a schema change and could force implementers to change the data loading scripts. Please let me know if you would prefer that this change not happen.

Also, PAHMA wants us to customize their deployment to have the following dates treated as structured dates:
Acquisition: Accession Date
Acquisition: Acquisition Date
Object Exit: Object Exit Date

We will implement those as customizations unless other implementers suggest that these should be structured dates as well.

At SMK we very much would like to see this change, and in answer to your second question we support that these dates become structured dates as well.

Hi everyone,

MMI and Walker have also indicated that it will be OK if the other three dates below are converted to structured dates. So I will create a Jira and put some information up on the 2.3 roadmap.
