Today on mostly moderate N to NW winds, but switching to SE around noon, we
had 189 migrant raptors of the 8 most-expected species, Only Bald Eagle was
missing. High species was Cooper's Hawk with 58. There were also 15
somewhat late Broad-winged Hawks, although Lighthouse is noted for late
Broad-wingeds.

Other species of interest were a flyby Whimbrel giving great looks and
calling; one adult Red-headed Woodpecker; and a Common Loon. Other than
Blue Jays, the only passerine migrant in significant numbers was
Cedar Waxwing, at c. 200.

Of great help with many very high flyers were Bill Banks, Sol Satin, Abby
Sesselberg and Steve Mayo.
