New Survey for TRANSFORM: Theater District Public Projects & Activities

TACOMA, Wash. - What would you change in Tacoma's Theater District? What will improve your experience? The new survey released on tacomatheaterdistrict.comhttps://www.tacomatheaterdistrict.com/ includes proposals for Public Realm Projects and Activities in different areas within the TRANSFORM project footprint. The project partners, invite all comments and ask you to share the survey widely to gather as much community feedback as possible. The survey will be used to develop a comprehensive plan for future development in the district to serve the commuters, residents, and visitors to the district.
"What we want to end up with is a plan that sparks change, and makes this district better for our transit riders, theater-goers, residents, workers - everyone who cares about this district. So, while we get entertained by some cool local artists, we'll also be checking in to see if our plan is headed in the right direction." Janine Robinson, Senior Planner, Pierce Transit
To engage the community and invite feedback Spaceworks Tacoma has been creating visible transformations to the district by programming visual art and performances by local artists in existing and unusual spaces. The next public input event will be held in the summer of 2018 with a block party in Theater Square park.
The new online survey has two parts:
