Any recommendations for front door repair? We have been having issues with the deadbolt lock and door knob on our front door ever since we moved in a year ago. We thought it was just the lock and the door knob so we finally bought new ones. My husband tried to install them last night and we are still having the same issue with the deadbolt not locking properly. It makes us think the alignment with the door jam is off but we aren’t sure. Does anybody know anybody who would be able to take a look and fix it?

We had the same problem when we moved in. The plate was slightly out of line and the biggest problem was that the hole for the dead bolt was not deep enough. A small chisel fixed the problem for us. You might check that first.
