I guess it's too late to sell the house and move to the islands ... at least

As an addendum to my post yesterday, heavy snow in the Great Lakes
watershed, which there certainly has been this season, will also contribute
to higher water levels as the snow melt eventually winds up in the lakes.
That is good. However, as noted earlier, this has been one of the coldest
winters in decades with most of the big lakes partially or completely
frozen. That  means colder water next summer which very well may translate
into more fog. Are we have fun yet?

FWIW, we are awaiting another lollapalooza of a snow storm later today (12
to 15 inches on top of the 70 or so inches already received). Then next week
it is arctic-city with temps reaching 20 below (actual). That is very cold
for the end of February, even in this part of the world. Could someone
please call Al Gore and tell him we need some warmer weather?
