I feel the need to chime in on the issue of dog etiquette. At least in our part of the neighborhood (cul-de-sac where Autumn Terrace meets Woodland Trace), the barking is out of control and is really affecting our ability to enjoy our home. It typically begins around 6:30 a.m. It is now almost 11:00 pm and dogs are still barking. We have had to start wearing earplugs in our own home. Please, please, please bring your dogs in if they are barking, and don't leave them outside when you leave the house if they are barkers. Thanks

That has happened to my husband several times. He says there’s a dog on Heritage Pass that’s on the lawn while the owners are out of sight. Could be the owner’s in the garage or run inside for something but the thing is, you may think the dog is harmless but it scares the begeezes out of someone who’s unfamiliar with him or her. I understand wanting to let your dog run loose but keep it in the backyard. If they are in front, keep them leashed please.

FYI - It is skunk mating season and I have seen skunks in the neighborhood
in the evenings and early mornings. Usually on Autumn Terrace and up onto
Woodland Pass. That could be the reason for all the barking. Be watchful.

I concur completely. I've heard dogs barking well after midnight and very early in the morning. It's not once in a while either. It happens all of the time. We have to use noise makers when we sleep.

Excessive barking is usually a sign of bordeome and loneliness.
I hope the dog in question isn't neglected.
Pet ownership should = shelter.
It's 2018 people....take care of your pet or allow someone else the privilege.
