Georgs, How about the host of Trawlers & Trawlering, take a course in plain
old civility and common sense. That was a pretty mean post regarding those
that simply asked for the list

This list is designed to facilitate the discussion of ocean and long
distance passagemaking. Commentary about how this list is run doesn't
contribute toward the goal having an effective exchange of information.
Many of our subscribers are at sea and pay for their slow speed email
connections. If you have suggestions for Georgs or I, please send them
directly to us and not detract from the exchange of information in the
public venue.
If contributors to the forum want to make materials available to
subscribers, they are encouraged to post them on public forums or their own
web sites. If you need help with these activities, don't hesitate to
contact the list administrators. Thanks!

Dennis,

(a) Georgs' comment was entirely civil.
(b) Nor is there any element of "mean" in it.
(c) What's more, Georgs was exceptionally patient and tolerant to wait
for so many of the ill-addressed requests to be posted before kindly
(and politely) asking that folks adhere to a simple rule that's common
(and has been for years) on ALL sites of this type.
Apologies, of course, if this POV seems "mean" and "uncivil".
