Greetings All:

My municipality recently held an election as to Charter amendments.  All but one of the proposed amendments passed.  I am looking to 11 O.S. Section 13-111(2).  My thoughts. The amended Charter need be prepared, certified and authenticated by the Mayor and submitted to the Governor for approval.  I see no specific time period prescribed.  Any differing opinions please?

That is my understanding, and is the method we followed in amending our charter.  Take a look at 13-107 for more detail on the authentication requirements.

The governors office will require certified copies of election results, proof of publication at required intervals and a copy of the charter.  I usually revise the actual charter and redline the changes for governor review.
