Good morning all,
Thank you Julia for your email, it was a perfect follow up to the initial email received earlier in the evening. You couldn’t have said it better!
As a wife of an LSR elected board member, I found it offensive to see that a resident from this community would use this type of behavior as a platform to run for any position on the board! This is not an election between political parties, but rather an election to demonstrate compassion for a thriving and family-oriented growing community. Let me just say, we are certainly not opposed to anyone running for a position on the board, but we do not appreciate the unfair, and un-neighborly conduct from anyone who does not have the facts and lists items only on assumptions. All of the concerns mentioned are legit, but you need the facts. Everyone has been and is always invited to attend the monthly meetings. If you are unable to attend, a board member is always available to answer any questions/concerns you may have, to ensure you have all the facts, before accusations are made.
As an elected LSR board member, you are positioning yourself and your family to receive phone calls and/or visits to your home, at all hours of the day/night, because residents would prefer not to confront one of their neighbors regarding a raised issue. In addition, (and this is to mention just a few), when a gravel truck comes through the neighborhood and dumps dirt/gravel at the entrance; when a construction crew comes through and dismantles the large boulders at the corner park; when the dumpsters are over-filled to the capacity and someone has to get in and stomp down the debris so that it can be hauled off, it’s your board members who step up with a few local residents, to act upon the situation, because that’s what we do in this neighborhood. You see, they don’t break people down, their acts of unpaid kindness builds up our neighborhood!
In case anyone needs reminded, we have been in a pandemic for much of this year, which has delayed some projects being started....all three board members, Tom, Greg and Reid have demonstrated true leadership! They started at the beginning of the year to work towards upgrading the park area. When things would break, they and a neighbor or two would make the necessary repairs as they could, while continuing to request bids for commercial grade equipment for the safety of your loved ones and ours.
For over the past several years that we have been residents, Tom, Greg and Reid has always put the residents as a top priority, in giving of their time and energy to keep LSR a proud place to call home to you and your families. They will not toot their own horns at the monthly meetings, but rather they give shoutouts to neighbors that have demonstrated such kindness to others! So when a thank you is sounded from the neighbors to the LSR board members, it is rewarding and it is an honor to say, I’m proud to be one of the three spouses of these great men!
To all of you great neighbors, Janet and I would appreciate your vote re-electing Tom and Greg for this upcoming election, as they continue to work in building our neighborhood, for all!
Thank you,
Leona Angotti
Thank you, Leona. What you have written is accurate and incredibly well-said. Tom, Reid, and Greg spend hours working on matters that no one would believe. And, this community is incredibly blessed by the leadership of Tom Angotti. Trust me, too few people are even aware of all the many issues and minutiae that Tom handles as the Chairman of the Board.
I will never forget the time that a dump truck accidentally dropped a significant amount of very fresh manure at the entry way of Limestone Ranch. It was the worst mess and stench. I saw Tom out in the sun, manually shoveling you-know-what so that residents and visitors would not have to drive through the muck. He was the first board member home that day and he handled the situation. That is the kind of person that Tom is — a servant leader.
Take care and have a blessed day.
Sincerely,
Janet Anderson
