Here is the deal: We dont need a permit to play a game of touch on the weekdays. We can only have 3.2 beer in cans or cups. We cant have fun in a public park, never, not even for a little bit.. What is a little confusing is the phrasing "other multi-person organized activities on weekends and holidays." Does multi-person count as more than one person, requiring a permit if we just stand next to each other? Or does this mean literally every activity that would utilize the park? Also, the fee for weekend activities is a refundable deposit of $30 - $60 (3 hours - 6 hours) for volleyball & most likely rugby. This refundable deposit makes the activity free, which is also super confusing. Maybe Hofstra and Gordon can sot out the details for us? See you guys this afternoon! The permit reserving of park "public" area is only being enforced on weekends and holidays (Memorial Day through Labor Day).
