Piracy reporting, and a bit of comic relief

While planning a circumnavigation I frequently read the piracy reports at:

http://pollux.nss.nima.mil/onit/onit_j_main.html

After reading about containerships, chemical tankers and fishermen being
attacked, assaulted, and even killed, it was somewhat humorous to read the
following:

M.  PACIFIC-ANTARCTIC OCEAN:
.
1.  AUSTRALIA:  The private yacht (PREMIER CRU) was stolen
30 Jan from Blairgowrie marina.  The yacht's owner chartered a
plane which spotted the vessel 31 Jan 70 miles off the coast at
1740 local time.  The yacht was recovered 2 Feb near Port Sorell
Tasmania, undamaged, but apparently absent a bottle of 15 year-old
malt whiskey that had been on board.  The yacht, which was locked,
may have been started by hot-wiring the engine.  The thief is
believed to have fled in the yacht's dinghy.

I have to admit, the thought ran through my mind, "I didn't know Capt. Mike
when that far south to do deliveries?

:)

In all seriousness, having crewed for Mike, I can attest there is no
tolerance for drinking whiskey while he is in command!
