Hello fellow racers,

There were some rumors and conflicting information about our last day of Wednesday night racing.

I just wanted to drop a note and clarify the dates and the last day of the race. The following is the excerpt from Wednesday Night NOR which is posted on NBC Web site as  well.

Divisions every Wednesday from 5/8/2013
through 9/18/2013. There is no racing on

This is what we have been doing for the last few years.

AS we did not change anything, it should be the same.

As of the 28th we will have  had either 15 or 16 races, so we are throwing
out two low scores.

1-8 races per series will result in one throw out race.

9-16 races per series will result in two throw out race.

17-24 races per series will result in three throw out races.

As of August 28th I count 14 races for the Spinnaker group, and 15 races for
the Non-spinnaker groups. If we race on Sept. 18th, it will be 15 and 16
respectively. Let me know if I'm wrong on the count. [No wind, no racing
7/17 and 8/28. No spinnaker boats raced 6/26].

The USSA recommendation is one throw-out per 5 races. For some arbitrary
reason, the group decided last year one throw-out per 8 races. Weird. Either
make it five or don't have any throw-outs at all. And please decide and
publish beforehand so everybody knows the rules.
