All,I am pleased to announce that all our hard work paid off. We have received the official IRS approval of our 501c3 status.I would like to thank all the old boys that chipped in to cover the initial costs for the firm that put the packet together. The exec personally financed the 900$ filing fee,and Ben Meyerhoff from the Wheelchair team and I drafted the return letter that gained us the final approval.I have attached the letter to show the official dates that we can now accept tax deductible donations. As of Sept 29, 2014 please reference 27-1686134 for any tax deductible donations.
This begins a new era for the Harlequin organization as a whole. I am eager to see how we grow from here..
Thanks,Tom VylesPresidentDenver Harlequins RFC.

This is great news, thanks Tom for the hard work. I'm really glad to be able to be a part of it. This status will help our organization especially in fundraising.

That is truly an awesome feat!  For those in the know, we know the amount of time and effort that went into making this happen.  Now I highly recommend that the team takes advantage of this...Cheers,Adam

Great news and thanks to all those who put in the effort to make it happen!

I'd like to suggest registering with AmazonSmile --
https://org.amazon.com/ref=smi_ge_raas_org_org

If I'm reading it correctly, once registered (at no cost) Amazon Smile
shoppers could designate Denver Harlequins as their preferred charity.
0.5% of purchase price will be donated on quarterly basis.

Might not amount to much but it's free and might be a source of some funds.

We use that at work, it certainly doesn't hurt, but it can take awhile to
generate a considerable amount of funds. During the holidays is when you
really wanna make a push for people to sign up. You can also create an
Amazon Wish List of items we need for the club that people can purchase as
a tax deductible donation.
