Today at 10:45 a.m., at the pond of Fisher Meadows, Avon, among hundreds of Canada Geese, a Greater White-fronted Goose and a dark morph Snow Goose.
It was good fun watching all the geese arrive after 10 a.m. I saw the Snow Goose overhead before it landed on the water.
Also 16 Common Mergansers, 4 Hooded Mergansers, 3 Great Blue Herons, and a Hermit Thrush.

Stopped by Fisher Meadows today on my way to the airport. Thanks, Lea, for your post yesterday as I was looking for a good spot to stop on the way. The GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE and dark morph SNOW GOOSE (BLUE GOOSE) were both there again today. Also there were 3 NORTHERN PINTAILS (2 drake, 1 hen) in with the mergansers and Canada Geese today.
