There has been a few large flocks of Horned Larks at Rocky Hill Meadows
yesterday and today estimated at least 400 birds. The birds are feeding in
a couple of corn-cut fields near the T (intersection of Great Meadow Road
and North Meadow Lane), just to the left of the T upon entering from the
ferry landing and a more distant field across the road and back a bit. I
was able to individually count 400 birds in the field near the T but would
have missed many and did not include birds from the other field. There was
one Lapland Longspur within the group which may have been the bird seen by
Jamie Meyers yesterday
